Borders Melons East - Transportation
Borders Melons East is structured to plan and control the efficient flow of its products, from point of origin to point of consumption, so that it can conform to customer requirements. This includes inbound, outbound, internal and external product movements.
Our transportation services are provided by two affiliated companies, K & B Transportation and K & B Brokerage, both of which are headquartered in our business complex with us. K & B Transportation provides a small fleet of trucks which are dedicated to the movement of our product. K & B Brokerage takes care of all product movement which the dedicated fleet cannot handle, primarily during the busy summer season.
This strategic alliance with affiliated companies of common ownership, having a common office location, provides Borders Melons East with a definite advantage over the exclusive use of outside logistics companies. We are structured to provide all needed transportation for inbound and outbound product to assure on-time delivery to our customers.
